From Ansgar Furst, Isabelle Coste and Remy Furst

Clairdee,

We are SO honored that Remy makes it into your "favorite moments" along with Nancy Wilson, Dianne Reeves, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Marian MacPartland and so many other distinguished artists!

I told Ken about Remy's amazing encounter with Ellis Marsalis, sitting on his bench at midnight in the Boston Scullers' jazz club when he was just about 2 years old. So I am seeing this as a continued sign for an amazing jazz destiny!

Drums for sure he loves (on the stairs or on old bottle packaging cut in half, w/ chopsticks for now), but Mum will get him on the piano first, Dad on the sax and godfather, Paul, on the guitar. Remy will ultimately probably pick something else — what he finds most inspiring. All that matters is that he grows up loving and appreciating all of this wonderful art and being grateful for people like you for bringing so much magic into our world and lives!

Thank you so much for sharing all of that love and music. We know how hard it is to make a good living out of this and our relentless support is the minimum you should expect! Keep us posted on any upcoming kid-friendly gigs. We would love to see you again.

Take care and keep jazzing.

Love,
Isabelle, Ansgar and Remy
