Looking for instrumental or voice lessons for yourself or your children? Searching for summer music camp? Do you enjoy listening to live music with your family? If you live in the Bay Area, here are just a few offerings.

San Francisco Community Music Center
The San Francisco Community Music Center (CMC) is the Bay Area’s oldest community arts organization and San Francisco's largest provider of low-cost, high quality music education, serving over 2,200 students each year.

Oakland Public Conservatory of Music (OPCMusic)
OPCMusic — the first of its kind in the country — offers courses as varied and diverse as the Oakland population and are taught by a veritable who's who of musicians and educators from Oakland and around the country.

Jazzschool
The Jazzschool is currently accepting applications for the 7th Annual Summer Youth Program. Activities vary from Rhythm Rocks for kids 6-10, to jazz and latin ensembles for middle and high school students.

Jazz CampWest
Jazz CampWest is an eight-day jazz immersion program for adult instrumentalists, vocalists and dancers held in the beautiful redwoods of La Honda in Northern California. For kids aged 10-14, the Jazz CampWest producers have created JAM CampWest — a new, hip music camp for youth ages 10-14. Classes include Beat Box, Body Percussion, Turntable, Spoken Word, dance and more.

Stanford Jazz Workshop Camp
Stanford Jazz Workshop Camp attracts a diverse, multinational group of young musicians (aged 12-17) at all levels of experience, from beginning to advanced, including vocalists, string players, classical music players, and those with no previous jazz training.

Lafayette Summer Music Workshop
The Lafayette Summer Music Workshop is designed for middle and high school students who are serious about playing and learning jazz music.

San Jose Jazz Society
Students 12-18 years old receive two weeks of intense instruction and playing various areas of jazz, from theory and big band, to master classes and arranging.

Music for Families – San Francisco Symphony
Music for Families concerts include great symphonic music, informative talks, musical demonstrations, and free musical materials for use at home.

School of String Improvisation
The School of String Improvisation conducts classes and workshops for kids, teens and adults, as well as a summer camp. Students explore and develop improvisation games, fiddling, blues and many diverse styles.
