Arts Education
As a passionate advocate for arts education, I enjoy sharing my love of music with children. Over the last several months I've been a teaching artist for the San Francisco Symphony's acclaimed music program, Adventures In Music. Working with the 1st and 2nd graders in the San Francisco Unified School District is fun and heartwarming. The best part is watching the kids' faces light up as they discover how music can be integrated with science, specifically to physics (sound production), and the biology of vocal production. By mid-May, my ensemble and I will have presented 146 shows to 9,000 children!
Other music education programs this semester have included Operation Jazz Band, the Healdsburg Jazz Festival's education program for 5th graders; and a music appreciation workshop/concert at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose, CA sponsored by the college's AFFIRM program. Favorites

Remembering
Mentor, manager and friend John Levy passed away on January 20. Words cannot begin to describe the gentleman and extraordinary human being he was. I am blessed to have known and worked with John. |
